Kimberly Skiba-Rokosky focuses her practice in the areas of family law, estate and trust litigation, guardianships/conservatorships, estate administration, and estate planning. Ms. Skiba-Rokosky has been practicing law since 2006 and has been with the Firm since 2015. She was made a partner of the Firm in 2017. Kimberly has dedicated herself to providing zealous representation for, and outstanding customer service to, her clients, often as she assists them through the most difficult moments of their lives.
Ms. Skiba-Rokosky graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of the Arts and obtained her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. She has been practicing family law her entire legal career and even worked in the field as a paralegal in a small law office in Massachusetts prior to attending law school. Before joining the Firm, she was a partner at a multi-practice area firm outside of Richmond, Virginia.
Kimberly is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia, as well as in Maryland. Among other professional associations and memberships, Ms. Skiba-Rokosky is a member of the Fairfax County Bar Association. She has authored several legal publications, including the update to the chapter on family law in The Virginia Lawyer: A Deskbook for Practitioners. Kimberly has also lectured at seminars for other attorneys and for paralegals on topics in areas of family law and estate planning and related matters.
Ms. Skiba-Rokosky has been AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2014 and has been named by Super Lawyers as either a “Rising Star” or a Super Lawyer in the practice area of Family Law in Virginia since 2011. In 2012, she was the first recipient of the Richmond Bar Association’s “Young Lawyer of the Year” Award, which was established in 2011 to honor a member who has excelled in the practice of law and has shown potential to be a leader in the profession.
Kimberly was born in and raised in New Jersey. She, her husband, and their two young children, currently reside in Bethesda, Maryland. In her spare time, Kimberly enjoys traveling to new places and listening to all kinds of music.
