Jacob Markin focuses his practice in the areas of civil litigation, family law, breach of contract, commercial transactions, and estate planning. Mr. Markin has been practicing law since 2022. Mr. Markin joined the Firm first before his last year of law school for the summer of 2021 and returned full time in 2022. Mr. Markin takes an individualized and personalized approach to each client’s case and is dedicated to helping his clients reach their desired outcome. Mr. Markin emphasizes his client’s interests in all stages of representation and seeks solutions that benefit them in both the short and long terms.
Mr. Markin graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science and obtained his law degree from the College of William and Mary Law School. While in law school Mr. Markin was the deputy chair of the Honor Council, overseeing administration of the Honor Code, conducting Student Bar Association elections, and educating the student body on the Honor Code’s policies. Mr. Markin also worked for the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, arguing multiple times in circuit court before graduation and helping clients who otherwise would not have been able to afford counsel.
Mr. Markin is licensed to practice in all courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Markin is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Bar Association, and Fairfax County Bar Association. Born and raised in Fairfax County, Jacob attended Oakton High School and remains an active member of the community.
In his spare time Jacob enjoys swing dancing, swimming, and playing board games with his friends and family.
